Rikki gives reality checks while being very loving and holding space. She was able to support me while uncovering the learnings from difficult feedback I received. Rikki helped me understand that work does not have to be where you go to seek validation, which was a big mindset shift from my previous approach to work.
“I always felt better after talking to Rikki, because she’s been in it. So much of my last job was asking myself, 'Am I crazy or is something wrong here?' And Rikki really helped me validate, understand and make sense of my experience in a toxic work culture.
Rikki gives reality checks while being very loving and holding space. When I reached out to her about a panic attack after receiving some difficult feedback she was able to support me while uncovering the learnings from the feedback. Rikki helped me understand that work does not have to be where you go to seek validation, which was a big mindset shift from my previous approach to work. I felt very seen and I felt very heard. At no point did I ever feel judged.
Rikki helped me face the fact that I have my own baggage, that I was bringing smoke from old fires, but I was also in a dumpster fire - both things can be true. She’s really good about parsing stuff out. Helping me live in the facts rather than stories, because, when you're in it, everything is really muddy and gray.
Since working with Rikki I now feel confident about not being alone in things. No one knows what the f*** they're doing. And I forget it all the time. I would recommend Rikki to anyone who is looking to sort their shit out while feeling both supported and challenged.”

When we started working together, I would never have envisioned working for myself. Without guidance and support from Rikki, I wouldn’t have gone down this road - I wouldn’t have been able to do it on my own.
“I felt stuck when Rikki and I first connected. But I was drawn to Rikki’s energy, her vibe and openness. I felt that she would be a good navigator through this confusing time. I was concerned since Rikki wasn’t specifically experienced in my industry, but it didn’t end up mattering. In fact, it was nice to have someone from outside the fray with a fresh perspective.
When we started working together, I would never have envisioned working for myself. Without guidance and support from Rikki, I wouldn’t have gone down this road - I wouldn’t have been able to do it on my own.
Rikki created this enthusiasm and optimism for the process. She always had a counterpoint to whatever story I made up in my head - when I was telling myself something wouldn’t work. She’d say, well, let’s explore what if the things you believe to be true, aren’t really true. Are there other options?
I always looked forward to every session - to talk with Rikki - and the accountability.
Rikki did a really good job at listening to my rambling, and then being able to package and synthesize what she heard. She reframed my rambles into clear thoughts that helped my fuzzy head.
I would recommend Rikki to: Anyone. Anyone who needs a career coach. “

Before, I hesitated, overthought, I was afraid of being wrong. After working with Rikki, I act as the lead that I am. It’s simply my model of working. I don’t hesitate anymore. I’m less afraid of sharing my opinion. I’m advocating for others, and inviting them into the conversation. I’m able to create more space and take charge.
“At first, I was nervous about the homework. But I learned it’s a nice thing being in charge of my own growth. We spent time reflecting, deciding what I needed to work on in each session. It wasn’t always about finding a solution, sometimes it was about identifying the problem.
Now, I’m the one coming up with the tasks, tracking my goals - that’s what I needed. I have a tendency to take on too much, and Rikki would stop me. She’d say, “that is probably enough, or, you’ve given yourself too much” - it was helpful to have her make me pause and reflect, to guide me to decide on what to take on. We had a powerful reflection piece to our work together.
I wanted to work with Rikki because she exemplified the type of leadership style I believe in - the team's success is their success. Rikki is helpful for people in transitions, or in need of clarity. And, if you’re looking to be a leader who wants to have a strong people focus, growing into that - then Rikki is the right person to go to.
This has been great. I will be back.”

Becoming a parent is a transformative process. Suddenly you’re struck by the realization that your career is not at all compatible with raising a well adjusted kid, or having the work life balance you need to do preschool pick up. Since Rikki also was the parent of a young child, we had this unique shared understanding of that shift. And now I have more clarity around what comes next, for me, and my family.
“The path I wound up on was by happenstance. It was my first job out of college and then I got another job from that connection until I reached the height of what I wanted to reach. And I didn't like it. But you just kind of stuck with it. Yet as I got older, I didn’t want to keep pushing, I wanted to change to something I really enjoyed more. This work gave me the permission to change paths. Now I don’t see switching paths as starting over - I still have access to the cumulative knowledge I’ve acquired in my career, and that will be applicable.
I decided to dive into this work with Rikki when I realized that becoming a parent is a transformative process. Suddenly you’re struck by the realization that your career is not at all compatible with raising a well adjusted kid, or having the work life balance you need to do preschool pick up. Since Rikki also was the parent of a young child, we had this unique shared understanding of that shift.
I had been wanting to work on figuring out what I wanted to do for a career for a while, and I met some other people but I had a hard time talking with them. I was concerned about being willing to share enough to really dig into what I actually needed to figure out, but the rapport I had with Rikki - I found it really easy to talk with her. I looked forward to our calls. The biggest surprise was how much I enjoyed this process.
Having an accountability partner to bounce ideas off of meant I actually would take on that next step. If it was to reach out to people, Rikki was able to assure me that people want to help. My biggest transformation was really, really, taking the time to think about what I liked out of work. And now I have more clarity around what comes next, for me, and my family.”

Working with Rikki, I built my palace outside of work. I took stock of how I was progressing, week over week and felt in alignment with my goals. It has had a marked improvement on my happiness, and now I am much more confident about where I want to go professionally from here.
“In my last job, things were out of balance. I had difficulty managing relationships with my manager, leadership, and my teammates. I wasn’t sure what the rules were in my unique small startup, and I was looking for help navigating the workplace from somebody who had the professional experience to recognize patterns from my random stories.
Rikki just understood. Working with Rikki, I built my palace outside of work. I took stock of how I was progressing, week over week and felt in alignment with my goals. It has had a marked improvement on my happiness, and now I am much more confident about where I want to go professionally from here.
I now devote time to my own personal happiness and wellbeing outside of work - and that has affected both my life and my work. I’ve improved my interpersonal relationships. Investing in myself makes work bearable, which means I can deal with it - which means I’m actually better at it.
I would recommend Rikki to anyone who is struggling with work life balance. Anyone who wants to feel connected to their work. Anyone that wants to make work actually work for them. Rikki will help you understand what you want, and then get you there.”

I thought you work to pay the bills, rent, until you retire at 65. This work helped me recenter myself, connect what I’m doing with how I feel about the workplace. Work doesn’t have to be a burden. It’s something that I can work on, on an ongoing basis and draw satisfaction from it. It gave me the tools to do that. This sounds like a buzzword, but it felt like self actualization.
“I had never opened up to someone about what I wanted for my career, because I hadn’t really thought about it critically. You work to pay the bills, rent, until you retire at 65.
I was in an intermediate place and I was unsure if this would truly be helpful, or applicable. It was. We made my job at the time better for both me and my company. And, the work was critical in helping me get the job I have now - my ideal job. I had clarity on why I wanted it along with a more coherent story for my interviews.
I was skeptical about Rikki’s working style, because other coaches have prepackaged almost transactional solutions. But it wasn’t going to help with fundamental questions I had about my career path. But working with Rikki, I was surprised how easy it felt. How I could share in my own way, and then Rikki could cut through, detangle my thoughts, and connect them to the broader themes that drive me.
My first thought of who to recommend Rikki to is everyone. But we can’t clone her, and I still want her! So, if you’re someone in a less straightforward, more creative, complex role, or if you’re a people manager for a big team - work with Rikki.”

I was overwhelmed by choice, and Rikki helped me develop a strategy and tactics to feel more control over my career direction.
“I did not have a clear career direction before my session with Rikki. I was overwhelmed by choice, and Rikki helped me develop a strategy and tactics to feel more control over my career direction. As a result, I now make more confident and thoughtful decisions. Coaching with Rikki has more than been worthwhile. I recommend her to anyone looking to add more clarity to their professional and personal lives. Not only would I recommend Rikki, but I would advise everyone to use her services. She guided me through the process and gave me a completely different perspective on my situation.
“Not only would I recommend Rikki, but I would advise everyone to use her services. I saw her during a time when I was confused on my next career move and needed some direction. She heard what I had to say and was so clear and concise in her communication. She guided me through the process and gave me a completely different perspective on my situation. Rikki helped me piece together what I wanted in my next role and map out the necessary steps to getting there.
"I highly recommend booking time with Rikki. She helped me piece together what I wanted in my next role and map out the necessary steps to getting there (by implementing my own ideas). It helps to talk out loud with someone who takes the time to actively listen, ask questions, and offer sound advice based on what she has heard from you. It was a very affirming session for me."

Through reflective conversations with Rikki, I finally decided that I wanted to start my own independent consulting and that I wanted to be my own boss. Rikki worked with me and taught me ways to manage clients, how to increase visibility into my company, determine sales cycles, etc. I now have the skills to return to the job hunt if I want and I have the skills to keep my independent consulting business moving forward.
Before working with Rikki I felt confused about the direction I wanted to take my career. I had been struggling with what to do with my job search. I was worried that I'd never find a job and I was worried that I'd take any job offered to me. I felt vulnerable and not in control.
I got clarity on how to get out of my slump because Rikki gave me specific action items to do - she challenged me to step out of my comfort zone. I never would have done this without Rikki! After working with Rikki I had clarity on how to adjust my career planning and I felt enabled to focus on what I wanted out of my career, not on what was available.

Not only did Rikki help me to make the big decisions I needed to make, she also enabled me to rebuild my confidence and my trust in myself.
“I came to Rikki for coaching during a professional crossroads in my life. I felt like I was in a rut, and overwhelmed by the decision-making I needed to do to move forward in my career. Throughout our sessions, she guided me to reconnect with my strengths and gifts, and to clarify what is important to me right now. Rikki created a safe space for us to discuss what I feel vulnerable about, and she made me question what I was actually afraid of.
“Rikki helped me sort through all the steps I need to take to get to the next stage in my career development I know I want to get to. She helped me organize my thoughts, and break the unmanageably large task of establishing myself in an unfamiliar industry into actionable steps. Rikki created a safe space for us to discuss what I feel vulnerable about, and she made me question what I was actually afraid of. This helped me see that the things I was stressing out about are actually much more commonplace and more easily solved than I'd thought. Rikki gave me the courage and motivation to throw myself into the process of growing my business with enthusiasm.”

Rikki’s workshops put us in a position to derive processes that we leveraged and scaled as we brought on new employees.
“Working with Rikki has been incredible for both my personal career and my business.
Bringing Rikki on board to work with our leadership team helped us better align the executive team and address challenges linked to growing and scaling a company. Rikki’s workshops put us in a position to derive processes that we leveraged and scaled as we brought on new employees. After our initial sessions we continued to leverage the tools and skills that Rikki introduced - they were that helpful. As a CEO and serial entrepreneur, it’s essential to surround yourself with people that will push you to do your best. Rikki does that, all the while making me laugh really hard.”

"I wasn't sure what the best path forward was for me. Through working with Rikki, I now have a better understanding of my unique skillset and superpowers, what I need to focus on to get to the next phase of my career, and actionable ways to get/stay on that path. Rikki was able to synthesize my rambling stream-of-conscious into clear nuggets and next steps. It's helpful to have an unbiased, trained ear to work through your career hang-ups, challenges, or desires. Without Rikki, I'd still be spinning a bit in the unknown, and uncertain of what to work on to ensure I'm progressing."

I didn’t know there could be someone who would help me with my goals, while supporting all the emotions and nerves that come up with them. Even when I didn’t know how to verbalize something, Rikki helped me work through that.
“I was looking for somebody who would push me towards my professional goals, while understanding the feelings, too. Rikki was this enthusiastic, supportive person who helped me through all the changes I made this past year: deciding to leave my job, finding what I wanted next, and starting something new.
Before we worked together, I was nervous to reach out to people. Together, we developed a template, questions to ask, things to fall back on. It took away the fear of reaching out to people. Even now, I’m using that mentality in my new job - I’m able to say, “Hey I don’t know this thing - can you tell me about it?”
I didn’t know there could be someone who would help me with my goals, while supporting all the emotions and nerves that come up with them. Even when I didn’t know how to verbalize something, Rikki helped me work through that. And she made it okay for me to say those things in the first place. I just think she’s great!”

Working with Rikki I now have the confidence - and the language - to tackle my goals. I’ve figured out how to communicate with my colleagues in a way that moves things forward. I made my current job (that I enjoy!) work for me.
“I love my work, but I was feeling adrift trying to navigate a new corporate space. Working with Rikki I now have the confidence - and the language - to tackle my goals. I’ve figured out how to communicate with my colleagues in a way that moves things forward. I made my current job (that I enjoy!) work for me.
I wasn’t sure what working with Rikki would be like - I didn’t have a specific goal but Rikki teased my goals out of me. Each meeting had both the practicalities of building a toolkit to succeed in my current position, and took into account the emotions that come up in our career and our lives. It felt like work therapy.
Rikki was 100% on my side, but didn’t just say what I wanted to hear. She helped me step back and see the bigger picture. She didn’t play devil’s advocate to point out faults - it was more productive than that. I came out with real tactics. And she was there to celebrate the wins - tiny and big. She helped me focus on celebrating those wins, even when it felt like I was bragging.
I’d recommend Rikki if you’re feeling like you’re trying to experiment with some big changes to figure out what the future looks like - but you’re on an island by yourself. Or if you’re in a senior role but want to feel more confident in your position - Rikki is who you want.”

Having a trusted guide that truly cares about the outcome makes all the difference in finding the right answers In contrast to other people I’ve worked with in the past, Rikki isn’t afraid of challenging me to push me over the edge, in service of realizing my own patterns and making the changes I meant to enact.
“A candid conversation with an impartial party was so different from talking about my problems to friends. Instead, this work feels actionable, rather than regurgitating issues. I got real, tangible tools that helped me break things down into something manageable that I can act on.
I wished for transformation but got started on a longer, but much more meaningful, journey.. It takes a lot of my own work to make change happen. Sometimes I’m good at putting in the work, and sometimes I’m not. I didn’t go into it thinking we’d spend time on life stuff - but, life and work issues were intertwined, taking action on one, helped take action on another. This work forced me to take action on the issues I want to move on.
This is by far the most I’ve invested on myself, and it’s been worth it. There’s a dream of having someone tell you all the answers, but the real work is figuring it out yourself. Having a trusted guide that truly cares about the outcome makes all the difference in finding the right answers In contrast to other people I’ve worked with in the past, Rikki isn’t afraid of challenging me to push me over the edge, in service of realizing my own patterns and making the changes I meant to enact.
One of my favorite things was knowing Rikki was there, that she had my back. I could shoot over an email and we could handle a lot that way. It was great, and I’ve already recommended her to several friends.”

The biggest payoff was realizing what I wanted - and that what I wanted was okay. It’s okay to focus on work life balance. It’s okay to expect more from my career in terms of making me happier. It’s okay to recognize that my past negative experiences were a result of more than just myself, and other people have had similar experiences.
I wanted to work with a career coach because I was looking for a genuine partner to help me move through this process. I found myself internalizing a lot and thinking inside my head - and as much as my wife was patient with me - it’s not the same as working with a coach. I was stuck, and wasn’t sure what to do. Rikki helped me work through it.
Rikki’s not your ordinary career coach. I expected coaches to be stuffy: focused on maximizing earnings and climbing the corporate ladder. Rikki brought humor and fun to the process - it helped me not take myself too seriously. She was focused on the holistic picture - how work falls into place alongside family, friends, hobbies and life. And at the same time, she was incredibly smart, built wonderful rapport, our conversations felt like they were with a close friend, but were full of thought-provoking questions, and she picked up on themes that I wouldn’t have.
If you’re looking to pivot, make a big transition, get clarity on what you want in work/life - work with Rikki. She can pull you out of your head, parse out your thoughts and give you an objective perspective. This work has been so valuable - the exercises, the conversations, all of it. I’m thankful for the experience.

Before working with Rikki I felt a lack of clarity about my career and my biggest concerns were direction and burnout. Rikki guided me through the emotions and the logistics of a layoff, helped me weigh my options and plan my tactical next steps for re-entry into the workforce.
Rikki has a way of listening to chaos and synthesizing it into meaningful, actionable feedback. It is so validating to be heard, considered, and mirrored back in a way that is productive and instrumental to transformation. She is an incredible accountability partner who is always in your corner and makes herself available and accessible with every twist and turn that a professional world can take.
While working with Rikki, I was most surprised to realize that your job and your work do not have to own your identity, and that the preconceived ideas of what 'work' and 'progress' should be change and grow as you change and grow.
Now I feel confident about listening to my gut when it comes to work opportunities. After working with Rikki I am more equipped to combat obstacles in my current role and have a more balanced perspective around what is important to me in my next role and my professional world holistically.
I would recommend Rikki to anyone who is looking to dig deep on what drives them in their professional life and how to 'rightsize' their intentions and goals. Committing to time with Rikki is committing to yourself. And you're worth it, baby.

Before working with Rikki, I had recently left my job without knowing what was next and didn't know where to start in figuring that out. It felt incredibly daunting and insurmountable. After working with Rikki, the process seems completely doable. I now feel like I have more of a plan and direction and a healthier mindset around the process of making a career change.
Before working with Rikki, I had recently left my job without knowing what was next and didn't know where to start in figuring that out. It felt incredibly daunting and insurmountable.
My career change felt messy when I started working with Rikki and while it seems less daunting now, it's still messy and that's okay. It's supposed to be. That surprised me most.
I thought I would have a clear answer about my next step career wise after working with Rikki, but I've learned that that wasn't the goal. What we achieved is much greater than that - the proper mindset, personal values, and networking tools to find the next step myself.
Since working with Rikki I now feel confident about what I need in my next role so I feel valued, respected and productive. I now feel like I have more of a plan and direction and a healthier mindset around the process of making a career change.
I would recommend Rikki to anyone who is looking to figure out what they need to succeed at work and needs a shift in mindset around what their career means to them. Rikki will not tell you what career to pursue or rewrite your resume, but she will give you the tools you need to confidently figure it out yourself.
